Understanding Roulette

Roulette is one of the most classic casino games. The game is easy to learn while being incredibly entertaining. Even if you succeed in becoming a skilled player or succeed in winning a lot of money, you must be aware that roulette is one of the games where it is easiest for the casino to make money and thus also for you as a player to lose money. Roulette is based on probability, luck and chance and if you are lucky you win, but if you are less lucky this is a game where you can lose a lot of money.

To increase your chances of winning in this entertaining game, it can be good to use some form of roulette strategy , but even if you manage to get better through a lot of gambling, this is not a game if you want to optimize your chances of winning. Playing a lot will mean that you both learn and understand the game better, but no matter how good you become, you will never succeed in mastering the game completely. Since the game is created so that the house has an advantage, roulette should be seen more as an entertaining game, played to create excitement. Game strategies can neither provide a long-term nor guarantee winnings, but are more to help along the way.

Roulette Rules

In order to be able to learn which roulette rules apply, you need to know what type of roulette you are playing. There are two variants: an American and a European, and although these have a slightly different appearance, the basic rules are still the same. Roulette consists of a spinning wheel, in which a croupier shoots the ball in the opposite direction of the spin. The players choose the number (s) they think the ball will land on and when the wheel stops they have either won or lost.

The difference between the European and the American variant is the number of holes. The American wheel is divided into 38 holes and these are numbered 0, 00 and 1-36, while the European wheel is divided into 37 holes numbered 0 and 1-36. So there is no hole, numbered 00. A roulette tip can be to choose the European variant, as there is a smaller number of numbers to bet on and thus a greater chance of winning. However, this depends on how you choose to bet, but if you only intend to bet on one or a few numbers, the European variant is preferable – because the odds of winning will be greater.

Roulette System and Roulette Tips

When playing roulette, there are several different ways to think about and an incredible number of roulette systems you can use. One of the more well-known systems is the Martingale system, but also the 1-2-3-6 system and the Fibonacci system, known from the book “The DaVinci Code”, are two systems that are widely used. If you choose to play according to the Martingale system, this means that you double your bet every time you lose and that you always return to your first bet every time you win. The system is created as such that the last gain compensates for previous losses. For example, if you start by betting € 8 and then lose 4 rounds, your bet will look like: € 8 – € 16 – € 32 – € 64 – € 128. When you finally win € 128, you are back at € 8 and you start again.
